Unanswered: New to Oracle: running string as query

We're looking to convert some Access apps to Oracle and were wondering if something is possible. Basically we store certain SQL queries as strings in the database. Then when we want we pull them out, maybe do a little manipulation, then execute them.

Can these types of things be done in Oracle Stored Procs?

    TIA!!

Yes, using the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE command.
