    Unanswered: Number of userthreads

    Hi all,

we use IDS 9.4 on AIX 5.2.
When I look at onstat -u, the last line says
    "13 active, 128 total, 24 maximum concurrent"

Where does the 128 comes from? Can I change it somewhere?
Or is it given by the system?

Thanks in advance for your answer!

The field "total" means the current number of userthreads that the IDS has been dynamically allocated to handle.
If the number of requests exceeds the current "total" number then the IDS will dynamically allocate additional memory for these new userthreads. So this number is dynamically changed when additional memory for new threads is needed.

    hope this helps
