    Unanswered: Temporary Tablespace

I am going to create a new temporary tablespace on my local disk and assign 2 users to it, the rest of my users will use the temporary tablespace on the SAN. If I alter user to use the new tablespace, will this happen dynamically? Or do I need to disconnect each of the users?

You could answer your own question definitively by doing a couple of simple empirical tests on your own database & not have to rely on the answers from strangers.
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
The average person thinks he's above average!
For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.

make a "VERY_SMALL_TEMP" tablespace & assigned it to a user who is already logged into the DB.
Do a query which requires a sort to disk.
I assume it will succeed, but time will tell.
logout & login & do same query again.
If it errors out & complains about VERY_SMALL_TEMP, then you've answered your own question.
