    Question Unanswered: Disable Error 3071

    hi all
I have a report that opens based on a input query, example:

Select * from TableA where Field1 = [Input Date (mm/dd/yyyy)]
    Field1 is date type

when i put "a" in "[Input Date (mm/dd/yyyy)]" i get error 3071, and i understand that.
What im trying to do, and i cant is to disabel the error and show my message to user.

I tryed , in all events, disable warnings, Err.Clear and the default message comes up all the time...

Is there any way to solve this or i need to create a form to input the date??
    Ty and sorry my english.

    drop the wretched input box!

make a form (if you must, you can make it as ugly as the default input box).
validate the input in the form.

Agreed, I never use input boxes any more (I've learned my lesson ).

Just create a form, set the pop up property to true if you want, put whatever you need on that form (text box with whatever format you want, buttons, etc.) and call that form when needed.
