We are currently planning for a SQL Server 2005 upgrade. We would like to use 64 bit for our main production server. However, in the new server environment, there will be a mixture of SQL Server 2005 (64 and 32 bit) as well as SQL Server 2000. In our current SQL Server 2000 environment, we have distributed queries and distributed transactions between the servers (using Linked Servers). Does anyone know if there are any issues distributed queries and distributed transactions between SQL Server instances where there are SQL Server 2000 (32 bit), SQL Server 2005 (32 bit) and SQL Server 2005 (64bit) involved?

We will be building a test lab environment to confirm interopability but would appreciate any thought/advice in advance to help us understand what is possible/good pratice.

thankyou,
Zarty
