    Unanswered: import/export problem

In SQL2000, when I do import/export, there is DBaseV in the destination. In
SQL 2005, there is such selection. How can I make DBaseV export in SQL 2005?
    Thanks.

You are talking about DTS in SQL2000. please follow the following URL then you will see what happened to DTS in SQL 2005.
    http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...nsrreal_topic3

This is part of what is written there:
Upgrade from SQL Server 2000 DTS
If you are an existing SQL Server 2000 DTS customer, one of your first questions might be how you would go about upgrading to SSIS. There are a couple of different options, including using the Migration Wizard, performing a manual migration, or even leaving your packages alone and running them using the Execute Package task. Each of these options is briefly explored in this section. ...
Also you may follow this URL as well:
    http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/Sho...68086&SiteID=1

Then you may try this web site to download backward compatability for SQL 2005 to SQL 2000. (Look for this: X86 Package (SQLServer2005_DTS.msi) - 5083 KB)
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

However you need to be very careful because once you install the backward compatability using SQLServer2005_DTS.msi, SQL Server 2000 is no longer functional on the machine.

    Good luck.

Thanks, Terry. I have read the articles. It is not very helpful.

I also faced the same problem, furthermore, I'm using the express edition, even lesser features enabled. Basically there is no SSIS available for express edition, and SSIS doesn't support DBF.

However, you can export them to excel with header first, and convert the excel file to DBF format.

You have to write a small programme to convert or your users have to do it manually.
