    How to an import database from Firebird to Sql Server 2000?

    Thank goodness for google. Firebird is a free rdbms. Some documentation refers to importing a SQL Server 6.5 database ... a while back.

    Try this link, and see what you think ... it proports to export to Excel, Access, and csv among other things. All of these can then be imported into SQL Server:

    Dang. I would have thought the Pontiac Firebird would have come up first. Google works in mysterious ways, I guess.

    I'd install the Firebird ODBC drivers, then use SSIS to import the data.
