    Unanswered: Disable control center access

    Hi

    DB2 version 8.2 on windows

We have number of client machines that have db2 admin tools and application development components installed. We would like to bar the users from the client machines from using control center or command line editor to access database. But defenitely allow applications in the client machines access using the alias set up using db2 configuration assistant. Is there a better way to do this than removing db2cc and db2cl programs fromthe client machines?

    Thanks

If the users\DB objects are given proper grants\priveleges even db2cc and db2cmd they wont be able to access them
    or
you can uninstall application development client and install Run Time Client

db2cc is just another application from the DB2 server's perspective. You have to remove db2cc from your clients. Maybe it is sufficient to install the runtime client only. (I have no clue about packaging.)
