    Unanswered: Strip out unwanted characters

I have over 2, 600 names with this in various places in the name. All in the same field.

    &

It seems to me that this is going to have to be coded using strings.

    Is this correct, and how?

    Thanks . . . Rick

Have you looked at the Replace function?

    Just figuered it out.

I hit Crtl-F and the placed & and then selected the [Find] button. then I selected the [Replace] tab and the [Replace] button, checked that it worked correctly, then selected [Replace All]. Whalla.

    How simple.

    Thanks much.

I think Paul was referring to Replace() in VB... but your method works, so no worries!
