Unanswered: Concatenating multiple rows to a single string.

Greetings to y'all experts out there. I need your help. I need to concatenate a series of multiple rows from 1 column into a single string. It's more of like the SUM function in SQL but instead returning it as a single string. To be more clear, I want to rotate the vertical representation of data into a horizontal one. I've found a sample using SYS_CONNECT_BY_PATH but it said on the article that it works only on Oracle9i and later and unfortuantely we have Oracle8i. Please help...

You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.
