Unanswered: Linking MS Access to DB2 database

I am trying to link a MS Access database to a DB2 database so I can use it to write quieires and reports of the DB2 database.

I link the tables through MS Access, however whenever I run a query it hits a problem with the password being disabled.

The database is set up to reject a user and password if it is incorrect 3 times.

The user and password are correct when I have linked the table and stored the password. I also tried it by not saving the password, yet the problem is the same.

I think it is MS Access that is storing the password or something like this.

Has anyone experienced similar problems and if so Id really appreciate the solution to the problem.

    many thanks,

How do you link to the tables? When you select the type what are you selecting? ODBC? Something else?

Do you use a DSN? Or do you have it as a DSN-less connection? If DSN, check the DSN to see if it is storing any passwords. Do you have the latest DB2 ODBC driver?
