    Unanswered: Conneting to other instances...

    Version Db2 v8.2
    OS: LINUX/Windows

    In a server ,I am working on a instance, and there are several other instances .How do i connect to other instances and access databases present in them.

    You need to catalog the node (instance) and DB to be able to access them. You have to do this in each instance to be able to connect to the other instances.

    On Server
    On Windows: set DB2INSTANCE=<instance name>
    and then connect to DB of that instance

    If you are working locally, then setting the DB2INSTANCE environment variable is sufficient. However, I would recommend that you source the instance-specific db2profile (which will automatically set the mentioned variable).
