    Question Unanswered: Correct Use of Excel WORKDAY Function

    I am having a problem with the Excel WORKDAY function.

    A1 = 03/02/2007, B1 = 03/06/2007, C1 formula is: =WORKDAY(A1,B1)
    and C1, formatted as a number, shows 93950. The result should be 3.
    A1 and B1 cells are formatted as dates.

    This worked for me several weeks ago when I tested it but did not save it, and now that I plan to use it in place of NETWORKDAYS, the WORKDAY function is not returning the correct number of days.

    JerryDal,

    You may want to look at the help file for the WorkDay function.
    It takes a StartDate argument and a number of days argument, and
    returns a date that x working days past the start date.

    thanks RedNeckGeek. So the Excel WORKDAY function will not calculate the number of working days between two dates.
    I will use the NETWORKDAYS function.
