    Unanswered: Decimal Time

I have a report which gives me peoples times worked but it is in decimal time. For example person A has a total of 55.25 hours of time. On my report I need to show this as hours and minutes so in this case it will be 55 hours and 15 minutes.

I know how to get the hours and minutes from a number of minutes but not how to get decimal to minutes.

Do you know how to convert decimal time into minutes?

    Thanks

    Neil.

How many minutes in an hour???? Your fraction of an hour * those minutes ... If there is a subsequent fraction: How many seconds in a minute???? That fraction * those seconds ...
Back to Access ... ADO is not the way to go for speed ...

Let's use your example of 0.25 hours:
    As a fraction that's 25/100

The fraction you're wanting is out of 60, so the easiest way to do this is:

    --change from fraction into integer
    (25/100) * 100 = 25
-- then convert back to fraction
    (25/60) = 15

    Now combine the two!

    Please post your solution

    And what was the solution?

It'd be beneficial for anyone else with similar problems if you could post it!
