    Unanswered: Sql Server 2005

    Hi,
I am wondering why DTS is not been a part of SQL SERVER 2005 version. Any Reason for this?

    Thanks,

    Because it is rubbish

It has been rebuilt from the ground up and so it has been renamed Sql Server Integration Services. There is support for DTS to support people with lots of packages and also a DTS - SSIS transformation wizard... that I hear is a bit poor.

Which would make SSIS rubbish with a coating of gold spray paint.
If it's not practically useful, then it's practically useless.

Can't say I have had much use for either since learning to use BCP & BULK INSERT (@OP - hint hint).
