    I need to defragment my database Oracle9i.

    how can i do it?

    I have a 400 gig database that is up 7/24 and is continuously updated and I have never had the need to defragment the database. What makes you think that this needs to be done? Oracle tends to handle segments very efficiently.

    I'd have thought the only way to defrag would be to exp to a dump file, recreate the tablespace and then imp
