Query Analyser --> Object Browser --> SP --> Right Click -- Click Debug

NOTE: YOU NEED THE LOGIN RIGHTS TO DO THAT

    THANKS,

What's stopping you from using query analyzer to do the same?
I use QA for both 2000 and 2005.

George, congratulations on her saying Yes.

I'm quite new to SQL, so l just learned from this post how to run the debugger in 2000, but I followed those steps for 2000 with 2005 and don't find a debugger there. Where would I find it in 2005? That is, could you give the steps to find it like the steps DBA Rahul showed for 2000?

    Thanks!

    Thanking you Vic
I've personally never used the debugger (never knew it was there!) so I too was just asking out of interest. I have both 2K and 2K5 installed with QA - so I can just use that... It's a tricky one this.

correct, there is no debugger in SSMS.

You can debug a sproc with VS 2005 however, if you have it.
