    Unanswered: Perl internal database

    Hi All,
Does Perl have any internal database to work with? I need to extract and manipulate a lot of data from a DB2 database. I am using Perl script database modules for this purpose. However, it is taking a lot of time because of many sqls from the same the same tables. It could be much faster if I, say, retrieve the table data and store it internally somewhere and then performing some queries against that resultset rather than doing queries against the LAN database. So, my question is would Perl support something like this. Because I have to do some queries against the initial resultset, storing it in a text file, etc wouldnt work. Can anyone let me know if this kind of thing is possible at all.
Thank you all very much in advance.

If you're looking for very simple capability, you can use tied hashes and such. A simple example.

Otherwise, there are a ton of database interfaces available.
