    Unanswered: Access and DB2

Is Access able to import data directly from DB2?

    Thank you.

I've imported and linked DB2 databases to access - although it was years ago. If I remember correctly, I needed an ODBC connector. Microsoft or IBM may include it in the newer versions.

    Access can do either
it can use DB2 as a data source doing the full CRUD (Create, Read, Update & Delete) on DB2 data. as trowe says you'll almost certainly need an ODBC driver installed on each PC thats is using the DB2 data

    AND
it can import DB2 data into JET to do whatever you require. if you go down this route you may have to go via an intermediate step such as CSV export/inport.
I'd rather be riding on the Tiger 800 or the Norton
