Unanswered: SQLSever 2005 and mySAP ERP 2005 on 64-bit Windows 2003 OS
My question has to do with memory requirements for the Application servers and the Database server.
We are planning to upgrade our SAP system and we are strongly considering also upgrading to 64-bit both in the server layer and the DBMS space. We will be going from SAP 4.6C to mySAP ERP 2005, SQL Server 2000 Standard to SQL Server 2005, sp 2 and Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 (64-bit).
We have already virtualized the SAP application nodes, and plan to continue with that architecture in the upgraded system.
