Hey guys - I need your help. We are using SQL Server 2000- which version do you think we should upgrade to. Also, wondering if you tried any Open Source data base and any thoughts on those. Thanks guys for your help - Mark Smith

    Since versions 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2007 do not exist, I would recommend you upgrade to 2005.

if your needs are modest, you can use 2005 Express, which is free. it has similar restrictions as msde has.
