    Unanswered: Apply Records on the Form

    I create many forms in mdb file, I don't want the user have any permission in the backend (SQL Server) except using this file. So, I create the Application Role, after that, when the user open the continueous form, the open event will do like this

    dim conn as New ADODB.Connection
    dim rs as New ADODB.Recordset

    'connction string
    ................. "select * from tbl1",conn
    Me.recordsource = rs.source

    But, it seems that mdb file doesn't support this way. ADP support it, but, I want to mdb because it can link different technology application, such as Excel, Textfile, something like that.

    I could be wrong, but I don't think you can assign a recordset (ADO or otherwise) to the me.recordsource property. It is a Sting property!?

    ie Me.RecorSource = "select * from tbl1" ??

    I am not sure what you are trying to do, but with this method (recorset) it would seem you will have to set any control value progammaticaly ??
