    Unanswered: Binary_Checksum() equivalent in db2

    hi,
    What is the equivalent for this Binary_Checksum() function in DB2
    We are using Binary_Checksum() function over a row of a table to to detect changes to a row of a table in SQL.How to achieve the same in DB2.

    SQL doesn't define such a function. So you must be talking about something else. Maybe you are working with MS SQL Server? If so, you should tell us what this function does.

    I am talking about Binary_CheckSum() in MS SQL Server only.Binary_CheckSum() returns the binary checksum value computed over a row of a table or over a list of expressions .

    AFIAK, there is no such function in DB2 ..
