    Unanswered: Character set configuration in Oracle connection URL?

    Hi,

    I connect to my Oracle server using the 'ojdbc14' driver jars with the following connection URL,

    Code:
    jdbc:oracle:thin:@<HOST>:<PORT>:<SID>
    could anyone let me know how to set a character set in Oracle connection URL.,

    Not sure what you want to achieve. Do you want to set the client encoding? AFAIK this is always UTF8 for Java clients. I don't think there is an option to set the character set for thin driver connections. Actually I don't think you have to set it. The FAQ might have some more information:
