    Unanswered: Date for the Objects and Procedures

    Hi,
    I want to know how do i get the modified date for a particular object or
    for a procedure for my database. Can any body help regarding this ?

    There is no provision in Sybase to provide modified date. However you can easily code this using the sysobjects.schemacnt column. The schemacnt records any changes to the object. You can record this with a getdate() in a user table and chart the changes.

    There is one problem though, the schemacnt also gets incremented whenever you run a REORG(table) or sp_recompile (compiled objects) on the object, this is sort of misleading because strictly you haven't changed the schema.

    I think the column which you specified is int i think (i am not sure)
    If there is any alternative pls specify(here i am not only requisting you)
    other wise i am thankful if you give some detailed description about this
