    Hi,

I have the following statements in a script.

IF EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM systable WHERE table_name = 't_test')
    DROP TABLE t_test
    go

    COMMIT
    go

CREATE TABLE t_test( name varchar(20), id integer )

My doubt is the COMMIT really needed? if yes why?

    Regards,
    Poornima

No, the commit isn't needed in normal circumstances. But it doesn't hurt to have it there.
