Unanswered: Get user group and permissions

I have to connect to ASA 9, using the user profile via odbc.
how can i authenticate the user, and their group as I also provide administration to one particular group.
Was thinking of connecting using the credentials, and then run a stored procedure o check if the db is accessible.

I'm not sure I completely understand your question.

From what I could gather, you can associate a login trigger in ASA 9 to that user or group. This login trigger can in turn CALL security context objects within ASA or external to setup the environment.
