    Unanswered: the 16-table limit

    Does anyone know offhand what was the first version of sybase that ditched the 16-table limit on queries and also supports ansi join syntax (left join on, right join on, etc)? Thanks!

    12.0.x

    but don't hold your breath. Sybase crashes with stacksize overflow error if you cross that limit in newer versions as recent as 15.0.

    Now that you mention the product. It reminds me of some pain experienced upgrading to 12.0.x.

    The results from T-SQL JOIN to an equivalent ANSI JOIN in 12.0x were completely different, until we dug out this trace flag. Be sure to read this;
