Unanswered: Mail Merge with Word using Access as data source

    Hi!
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what would be the easiest way to create a mail merge (Word Document) with Access as the data source?

I would like to activate the mail merge from within Access (perhaps by pressing a command button.)

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Can you use a report instead of calling out to word?

Create the mailmerge document in word (using the DB as the datasource - you can specify a table or a query), then use automation in Access to open the document in Word?

Ok, you can actually merge data while in access with a word document file, when in yourtables, im sure i have seen a button under tools/something like that that says Office Links > Merge with Microsot Word.

To go one step further, if you are wanting your DB frontend, and want a button on a form,

1> create a new macro, (the next - i think is right, but have a look,i may be wrong)
    2> select the command 'runcommand'
3> select mergewithword (again, i think).

At the minute i can't run access, (i have a memory intensive program runnng, and can just maage explorer wih this prgram) but i'll check this is right for you and post again

    Tools>Office Links>Merge it with Word

It looks like some of these might help but I haven't been able to work up functioning code yet:
