Question Unanswered: steps to activate up and down arrow keys in sql*plus

    Dear Friends,
I am using oracle 9i with RHEL 4. I want to activate up and down arrow keys (like in linux command prompt) in sql*plus.
    What are the steps?
    Disadvantages of doing it?

    Regards,
    Umesh

    Cool

There isn't one built into sqlplus on *nix.

A talented shell scripter a few years ago wrote a rather useful korn shell script that does let you use command line history via the shell.

It's attached to this post as text file.

    Good luck!
