Unanswered: Concatenating Multiple Items in a Field into on Field

Unlike several other post recently, I am trying to combine the Text from a field from several records into one.

    It would look like this.

    Current Records
    Key Colors
    1 Red
    1 Blue
    1 Green

    New Record
    Key Colors
    1 Red; Blue; Green

I would prefer to do this in a query as it is easier for others to follow. I understand how to do this with Visual Basic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you know how to do it in code, that's the normal way (a function called from the query). There are also ways to do it in a report, or a SQL way that works in SQL Server.

    This might help.

Concatenating unique field values for records matching a query's GROUP BY clause

You don't necessarily have to use a GROUP BY clause. A SELECT DISTINCT SQL statement works as well.

    Hope that helps!
