    Unanswered: TNS-01153 error

    Hi All,

I get the following error from the listener:

"TNS-01153 Failed to process String: bla bla
NL-00303: syntax error in NV string"

Can someone explain the problem? Is it on the db or application?

    Please help ASAP!

    Thanks!

    01153, 00000, "Failed to process string: %s"
// *Cause: The string specified is not well-formed.
// *Action: Not normally visible to the user. For further details,
// turn on tracing and reexecute the operation.

// *Comment: Do not include in error manual.

What were you doing at time of failure?
When was the last time it worked & what changed?

It seems that every now and then I get it from the database when sending a request throught jdbc.
I don't know what has changed since I am not the one who maintain this db, I asked the dba and he said he changed nothing.
Can it be on the application side or this can only be a db problem?

// *Cause: The string specified is not well-formed.
Therefore I suspect it is a data dependent bug in the application.

    Thanks for the quick reply!
Can you estimate what is the problem? where should I start looking? How can I debug it on the db side?
