    Smile Unanswered: How do I Hyperlink a field programmatically?

    Hi!

    In the following Code I've created a record that stores the location of a specific file.

    The field "File_Out" is declared as Hyperlink in the dataset Doc_Out.

    In a subForm that each line consists of a specific location I've double clicked on the field and nothing happens.

    But when I enter a line manually and hyperlink the field with the right button of the mouse, later on if I double click it works and opens the right file.

    What is the syntax to programmatically Hyperlink the field or is there another way of doing it?

    ==================================================

    Dim db As Database
    Dim rst As Recordset
    Set db = DBEngine(0)(0)
    Set rs = db.OpenRecordset("Doc_Out", dbOpenTable)
    rs.AddNew
    rs("cust_Id") = Me.Cust_ID
    rs("remarks") = "Word File"
    rs("File_Out") = ffile
    rs("Date_entered") = Date
    rs.Update
    rs.Close

    HyperlinkFld = strDisplayText & "#" & strFilePath & "#"
    Me.Geek = True

    Hi Nckdryr!

    I've tried the syntax : rs("File_Out") = ffile & "#" & ffile
    and it works.

    Thank you.
