Exclamation Unanswered: Fixed Memory Issue - Queer

    Hi everybody,

I have changed memory settings on a SQL Server 2000 box and have made it to use "Fixed memory" at 1 Gb (or 1024 MB / 1024x1024 K = 1048576K ) .

I restarted the service and everything seemed to be alright at the physical memory usage.

However when I check the "physical" memory usage now ( i.e., after 2 days ) , I find that MSSQL is taking 1058396K which is above the reserved amount of 1048576K.

    From the task manager :

Physical Mem for MSSQL : 1058396K ( shouldnt this be within 1048576K?? )
Virtual Mem for MSSQL : 1098638K ( this is not a problem )

    From Perf Mon :

Total Server Memory of SQL Server : 1055744 (?)

Am i checking it right ?

    Looking forward to any pointers.

    Thanks for your help.

    Warm Regards,
