Unanswered: parameter query w/drop down selection?

    greetings, all:

i was wondering whether it was possible to create a parameter query where the user can select from a drop down menu? for e.g., i have a query where one column is a "report type," and the options are quarterly, weekly, etc. is there any way to create a parameter query where the user can select the report type, which would then return just those records?

If you want a drop down, you'll need to use a form, and have the query look to the form for the criteria, rather than [Enter blah].

ok, i'm so sorry, but can i get a little more guidance? i have a form already that has the specific field with the exact drop down menu i want. how do i reference that field? i opened the expression builder, and, when i double click the field in question, i see the following code:

    Code:
    Forms![reportDetails]![performID]
but then i don't know what to do with it?

Exactly that in the criteria portion of the query, replacing [Enter whatever]. Note that the form must be open when the query runs.
