    Exclamation Unanswered: Convert asp button to response.write

    Hi there,

    I am a newbie in asp field. Now i come to a situation where i need to generate a real time button when user click on a main button, this real time generated button will link to other pop up page called 'Print.asp', 2 values are needed to pass to the pop up page..

    Here the code for button which is working:
    ************************************************** ****
    <TD colspan="3" class="TextNormal"><input name="btnGenerate2" type="button" class="Button" value="PRINT TEST" onclick="window.open('Print.asp?PgNum=<%=PgNo%>&Ty pe=<%=request.form("reportType")%>')">
    </TD>
    ************************************************** ****

    Can someone please help me to convert it into a response.write format?It should be something like:
    ************************************************** ***
    Response.write "<TD colspan='3' class='TextNormal'><input name='btnGenerate2' type='button' class='Button' value='PRINT TEST'....

    ************************************************** ****

    I keep getting syntax error for the window.open portion where i totally dpnt have any ideas to convert it, please help...

    You don't have a semicolon in your call to window.open...

    You can't call response.write in "real time". asp is server side...
    oh yeah... documentation... I have heard of that.
