Unanswered: New powerful server degrades performance
Finished to install our new Windows Server 2003 from Windows Server 2000.
In the new server I have installed our copy of SQL Anywhere version 5.
We need to use this version for serveral months more until the new program is finished because the SQL Server is paired with our old program.
But having changed only the location of the SQL Server, I see that in all the workstations the time to execute any function in our old program is a despairing ten times slower.
I have looked at the different parameter options in the console, and as far as I can detect, all are the same in both servers.
Executing several different SELECT * with ISQL directly in both server machines, the time to execute is practically the same.
Is there any component incompatibility in using this version of SQL Server in Windows Server 2003 ?
