Unanswered: 10g Client Directory File Location

I need to change the file permissions on the client directories on a 10G server for a web based application that is calling these files. I'm not sure which directories are the server files and which are the client files and I really don't want to over expose my server by changing the wrong folders. Is this just a couple of directories or is several scattered locations?

    Thank you.

This statement make little sense to me at a number of different ways/levels.
I've never hear of "client directories" on the server.
A web based application typically communicates with the DB via an application server.
Typically one does not "call files" but read or writes files.
In any case what gets read or written to files is under control of the application.
Its your application (totally unspecfied) so go ask the authors not us.

For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
