    Unanswered: Recalculate a form control

I have a control that is suppose to recalculate the total which is fine when I go from record to record on a form. If the form only has one record I have to use F9 for the total to be updated.

I'd like the control to be updated any time a record is changed.

    Thanks!

Refreshing should do it (depends on how you're calculation is bound to the field). Look up "Refresh" in the help file on info on how to implement it.

Sounds like you want to utilize the afterupdate or lostfocus events of the controls.

    Thanks -

Actually I've added the command Me.Recalc to the exit event and it has solved my problem.

The refresh you suggested wasn't working for this case because the refresh is refreshing the record only and what I need refreshed is a calculated control.

    Thanks for your help.
