    Unanswered: Syntax error in Grant execute for a package

    I've created a package pkg. On executing this statement:

    GRANT EXECUTE ON PACKAGE pkg TO PUBLIC;

    The error I get is as follows:

    GRANT EXECUTE ON PACKAGE GETREFCURSORS TO PUBLIC
    *
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-00905: missing keyword

    Any clue what this is all about??

    Thanks...

    Sure. Learn GRANT statement's syntax.

    It is "GRANT EXECUTE ON pkg TO public"; btw, I doubt that you tried to grant a privilege on the "pkg" package, while Oracle returns an error about "getrefcursors" package. Next time copy-paste SQL*Plus session so that we can see what you were doing, instead of posting incorrect information.
