Unanswered: Exporting a CSV file using Export/Import

    Dear All,

    Good day.

My problem at this moment is that we are using Toad for DB2. Toad for DB2 is not capable of exporting db tables to an ixf file. It can only import .csv, .fil, .txt, .xls. Because of this we have to revise our procedures to be able to to export to any of the file formats above.

Is there a way to use EXPORT to export files in the formats above. This way we will be able to import the table using Toad for Db2. I only know the EXPORT command to be able to handle DEL and IXF. Any workarounds here would be very helpful.

    Thanks a lot in advance.

export.. of del .. : this is a csv file
the only other format is ixf
    for txt you could do
    db2 -x select * from table > outputfile
this would create a regular txt file
