Unanswered: SYBMULTBUF ERROR on database dump

    Hello everyone,

I am having trouble to dump a database around 9 Gb. When dump the database until 8.6Gb, got the following errors:

    Jun 29 22:34:18 2007: Backup Server: 4.58.1.1: Database KplusArchive: 8470662 ki
    lobytes DUMPed.

h error number 5 (I/O error). Refer to your operating system documentation for f
urther details. Look for 'Jun 29 22:34:29 2007: D00: SYBMULTBUF ERROR: ' in the
backup server errorlog for additional information from SYBMULTBUF.

I am using a 12.5.3 64bit sybase on solaris 8 platform. I tried stripe on three files or compress, it gave me the same error. It has no error when I ran dbcc checkdb.
Does anyone know what wrong with it? Thanks for your help!

    Ah... a fellow Kondor+ user :-)

That being said - have you checked the target filesystem to make sure that you have enough free space for the database dump?
