    Question Unanswered: How do I store non-english data in postgresql tables?!!!

    I am at the point of enhancing my application to work for multi lingual inputs..
    and am stuck at the first step itself.Please provide me some insights on how to store and retrieve non-english data from pgsql tables..Thanks in advance.

    I assume with non-english you mean characters that cannot be represented by the regular 7BIT ASCII codepage. Most probably you want a Unicode character encoding, so you need to your database as a Unicode database (See the manual)

    How you actaully store those characters in the database depends on your programming language and environment and should be asked in a forum for your language (this is usually not DBMS specific)
