Smile Unanswered: Using sql*plus (command line) to connect Oracle Database??

Hi guys. I am using Windows and want to use sql*plus (the command line tool) to connect Oracle running on another server. In C# programming, I can use a connecting string like "db.ict.xxx.edu.au" with user name and pwd to connect the database. Then how can I use sql*plus to connect the Oracle database? What's the correct syntax??

    Pls advise, thnx a lot....
