Unanswered: Double Byte Character Data [DBC]
I am ramesh and am new to DB2 v9.1 as well this group. I need all your help on below mentioned queries
I have come across DBCLOB, GRAPHIC, VARGRAPHIC, LONG VARGRAPHIC data types in DB2 V9.1 LUW which is getting used for DBC support.
And I would like to know how to insert the value into above mentioned data type fileds.
1. There is any specific types of CHARACTER SET needs to be set on Database level / table level side to stores the DBC
2. Is it possible to hold single byte character & double byte character on same table?
3. Through SELECT statement, Can I retrieve the data from DBC?
And I would like to know, if there is any website which talks more about Double Byte Character data in align with IBM DB2 v9.1 LUW context

if the db has been created with character set UTF-8 you store single and double byte characters. you can create table with graphic, vargraphic...
store and select data from these tables
many pages talk about this : have a look at
