Unanswered: How do I move the Transaction Log to another volume?

I just noticed that; although my server has 2 physical volumes my log files and DB are on the same one.

    How do I do it?

It's SQL Server 2000 running on Windows 2000 Server.

As a side note: Why does the database's Properties display in EM allow definition of multiple log files?

    Thank you!

There are a couple of ways to do it. The easiest is probably to detach the database, move the tranlog file to it's desired location, then reattach the database. See sp_detach_db and sp_attach_db in BOL for more details.

Answer to sidenote: because you might want more that 1 log file (say on separate drives ...hmmmm)
