Unanswered: Pause a macro to fill in a form?

I have a macro, but I would like it to pause...wait for the user to fill in the form, and then close the form and continue. Is this possible? How would I do this? Thanks.

I don't use macros, but in VBA if you open the form with acDialog, the code would wait for the form to close before continuing. You might see if macros behave the same way.

What do you mean continue? Endter a new record? Just add a button that adds a new record. Then go into the code (VBA) for the on click event, and add DoCmd.Close on the next line after DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

The macro equivalent to PBaldys suggestion is to do the OpenForm command and change the Window to Dialog.

FYI PBaldy, if you ever use DoCmd in VBA then you are basically using macros.

Except macros don't have any error handling
(which is why they should be avoided at all costs! -Anything you can macro can be VBA'd)
