    Unanswered: problem with raiserror

    Hi

    Please help me!!!

I have this very simple procedure.
The way it looks at the moment it doesn't raise any error
    CREATE PROCEDURE dbo.raiserror99999 @errorMess univarchar(255)
    AS
    BEGIN
    declare @szMess varchar(255)
    set @szMess = 'some text'
    raiserror 99999 @szMess
    END

If I change the source code:

    CREATE PROCEDURE dbo.raiserror99999 @errorMess univarchar(255)
    AS
    BEGIN
    declare @szMess varchar(255)
    --set @szMess = 'some text'
    raiserror 99999 'text'
    END

It's working fine. If there is set or select before the proc raise its error, no error is raised. :'(
