Salary based on qualifications and experience but our estimate is the top end starting base will be $90K. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and develop new ETL applications as well as provide production support for existing ETL applications.
Responsible for creating program specifications, construction, unit testing, system testing, user test support, and implementation activities for assigned projects under the direction of a manager.
Responsible for technical analysis and design of system requests, production problems, and/or functional requirements.
Provide time estimates and control progress of assigned projects. Provide manager with accurate feedback on project statuses.
Create system test plans and follow through with the testing and documenting of the test results for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Assist with the technical guidance and training of other staff members.
Attention to detail, problem solving skills, technical analysis expertise.
Good communication skills to work effectively with business analysts, project managers, and other groups within a highly matrixed corporate environment.
A quick understanding of business processes and systems is a key success driver.
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
Strong development experience with IBM DataStage Enterprise Edition Version 7.x is required. Experience using DataStage parallel engine to implement surrogate keys.
3 years of recent development work with DataStage.
Successfully developed, designed, tested, and implemented using the DataStage parallel processing engine.
Experience using DataStage with DB2 V5.3 or higher on an RS6000 platform and SQL Server 2003.
General knowledge of Business Intelligence or Data Warehouse concepts.
Experience with Oracle Version 9.x and/or Mainframe DB2 Version 8.x is a plus.
Experience coding custom stages using BUILDOPS is a plus.
Knowledge of Microsoft DTS is a plus.
Experience with Cognos Version 7.x or 8.x is a plus.
Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is a plus.
