    Question Unanswered: Encrypting View definition

    Hi,
Do we have a provision to encrypt the view definition as we have in SQL Server?

In sql server you can do "create view vwName with encryption AS SELECT * FROM tstTable"

Do we have any workaround if there is no direct way?

    Thanks in advance

    None that come to mind.
    Is this security by obscurity.

From who are you wanting to keep from seeing the details of a view?
You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.

    Thanks for the update.
I want to hide the view definition from the developers.

    HUH?
Should NOT the the developers be the one's who came up with the view in the 1st place????????????
    WHY?
In a well run organization, developers do NOT have access to production DBs; what is the harm if they know the view definition?

IMO, your paranonia is exceedingly impressive.
